For Sunday I will review only those who actually made an impression-for the most part, everyone was very conservative.
ESPN-
Keyshawn-Light tan suit, white shirt with dark brown tie and pocket square. Looked like raw chocolate chip cookie dough waiting for the oven.
Chris Carter-dark navy suit with striped shirt and a nice multi-colored stripe tie and a pocket square that looked like it belonged on Carmen Miranda's head with a bunch of grapes in the middle.
Tom Jackson-The pink fluorescent tie would definitely glow in the dark.
CBS-
Shannon Sharpe-Awesome dark gray chalk-stripe suit with a light blue shirt and deep purple tie and pocket square-sweet.
FOX-
Jillian-Super tight black skirt with sleeveless red ruffle blouse-put that oily hair in a braid and she would pass for a cross-dressing bull fighter-ole!
It was much more exciting watching the fashion on the golden globes.

Saturday-Table for Two
With two days of playoff games to review, let's get right to the action.
ESPN-
Chris-gold jacket with white/creme button down and a blue paisley tie-he's trying so I'll give him a pass for this show.
Mike Ditka-Mike was wearing the Italian restaurant he probably dined at the night before. Red checkered tablecloth for his shirt and his tie looked liked he used it to mop up the leftover spaghetti and meatballs.
Keyshawn-Drab, his tie color matched the Chianti that Mike had for his dinner last night.
Tom Jackson-tan striped suit, white shirt, pink tie-could have been the gelato that Mike had for dessert.
Chris Carter-Nice, medium gray suit, striped shirt with lavender tie-definitely maitre'd material.
CBS-
JB & Marino-medium gray suits, JB had a pink shirt and tie (yes the box combo) and Dan had a blue shirt with blue patterned tie-CONTRAST remember.
Shannon the Sharpe-velvet jacket again? did they have a special at Pimps For Less. White shirt with a chocolate/cranberry patterned tie and pocket square-a little too Issac Hayes for me.
Coach Cowher-The perfect combination to wear for the Chargers funeral on Sunday.
Boomer-The usual dark suit, lite blue shirt, blue/purple pattern tie-I give up.
FOX-
Curt-nice brown suit with lite blue shirt, blue/tan strip tie and pocket square.Very nice.
Terry-dark gray suit with lite pink shirt shirt, bright pink tie and pocket square-bright pink anything should be outlawed.
Howie-3-piece light gray suit with striped shirt, orangey gold patterned tie and orangey pocket square-solid colored orange tie and white shirt would have been much better.
Strahan-I almost went to sleep when he started talking-very boring combination.
Jimmy-Perfect upscale funeral director look.
That's it for Saturday's action, Sunday is up next.

Playoffs-Win or Go Home
In keeping with the theme, "Win or Go Home", here are my winners and the ones who need to go home.
It was close, but this week's overall winner is FOX.
Curt- looked good with his navy suit, pale yellow shirt, if his tie had matched his pocket square it would have been a touchdown.
Terry-brown suit, white shirt w/purple stripe tie-not bad. Change the shirt color to a creme and he would have scored a touchdown.
Howie-again our JC Penny poster boy. Gray 3-piece suit, tone on tone white shirt, paisley cranberry tie and what looked liked a snot rag from a circus clown that he pretended to be a pocket square. Time to go home.
Strahan-So close to a touchdown, I'll give him 3 points. His navy suit with pale blue shirt and his just short of the goal line orange/salmon tie. Should've gone right up the middle with all out orange-the ultimate power tie.
Jimmy-Best dressed of the bunch. Took my advice with the dark suit, pale blue shirt and gold patterned tie with gold pocket square. He looked as rich as he really is.
Overall score: 8
Our second place group this week is ESPN.
Chris-since you're the host can't really send you home but it was close. Kinda liked the retro tie, but the khaki pants-off to the Hamptons this week?
Ditka-The old coach is showing some style. Argyle vest-sharp. Better contrast with the tie picking up the color from the vest would have been very nice.
Carter-Nice look with the dark gray/black suit, striped shirt and lavender tie-but what's with the 3x5 card he stuck in his pocket.
Keyshawn-Tan coat with white stripe, white shirt with red/orange paisley tie-I'd like two scoops on a plain cone please. Time to go home.
Tom Jackson-Classic look with navy jacket, white shirt cranberry patterned tie.
Overall score: 7
Third place goes to... wait for it.... CBS
JB-Nice, medium gray stripe suit with white shirt and shades of gray/blue rep tie.
Marino-should he stay or should he go-this week he stays, barely.
Cowher-liked the suit, then everything goes wrong from there-time to go home.
Sharpe-Wow, still the style setter of this group for sure and maybe for everyone else as well, i even liked the polka dot pocket square.
Boomer-blah, blah, blah, blah-time to go home.
Overall score: 5
And our "Biggest Loser" -yes it's NBC
Bob Costas-dark suit, light rose colored shirt with a burgundy tie-got milk?
Chris-too much blue, shirt, tie, jacket-too much blue.
The Bus-stripes, stripes and more stripes, should have gone with a solid tie for sure.
Dan-looked liked an English banker with a small knot.
Keith-cool shirt but wrong color suit-navy would have killed.
Matt Millen-looked the best of the group.
Overall score: 1
The really big games start this week, will our reporters step up their wardrobe?
It was close, but this week's overall winner is FOX.

NFL Week 17-A Musical Review
Missed the ESPN Gameday show, so my first musical review will be FOX.
Cue DONOVAN as they call him "Mellow Yellow quite rightly"-Curt Menefee was looking good with his medium gray suit, white w/yellow stripe shirt and yellow tie. Terry was "Smoke on The Water" with his DEEP PURPLE tie, white shirt and navy suit-sweet. Jimmy went his standard light gray suit with a PINK shirt-Jimmy you need dark suit colors. Strahan looking SAVOY BROWN with his stripe on stripe suit, white stripe shirt and tie and then there's Howie-what can I say or sing-the stripe shirt, ugly tie, poor knot, then the bright yellow pocket square-very un-mellow yellow. Came in at half-time so I missed my girl Jillian with her GRACE SLICK hair.
CBS-featuring the DAVE CLARK FIVE and I was "Glad All Over" as the group looked pretty good. JB-liked the tie and shirt with the pocket square; Dan stepped up to the mike from last week's blah-nice contrast overall, if the tie was a few shades darker it would have been KILLERS. Coach Cowher-much better, at least had a little contrast, blue shirt should have been a "Lighter Shade of Pale". Shannon-"Every Girl's Crazy bout a Sharp Dressed Man" very conservative this week, but still very sharp-liked the vest. Would have matched the pocket square with the tie. Boomer, the usual bland.
NBC-"Purple Haze, all in my brain, lately things don't seem the same" or do they. The dark suit boys were wearing various shades of purple for their neck wear. Bob Costas looked more like the PRINCE of darkness; Chris-not bad, the shirt, suit and tie much improved from last week. Dan, lavender tie needed to be a few shades darker, Keith, very dry like his wit. The Bus-dark suit, dark purple tie-"Hello Darkness My Old Friend". Al-cool patterned red tie, conservative but nice. Big John, looked good with dark gray suit light blue tie shirt-should have gone with different color for tie.
Playoffs are this week-As KENNY LOGGINS would say, "This is it, the waiting is over"

Week 16-Day & Night of the Living Dead
It's the Holiday Season everybody-show some color!First stop this week is:
ESPN-Sunday morning show. Chris Berman, light pink shirt, green multi-colored tie (like the ones you see in the airport gift shops); will someone please help him-he's the host! So let's move along to Mike Ditka, actually looking pretty sharp with his red vest, red tie and pocket square-I would have gone with a stripe instead of the solid tie-better contrast. Chris Carter, another pink shirt, pinkish tie, and a pinkish stripe in the suit, how do you say-TOO MUCH PINK. Keyshawn looked more like a food court with his pumpkin shirt, blueberry tie, coffee ice cream jacket; I think I'm getting an upset stomach. And then there's Tom Jackson-Nice! navy suit with a pattern on pattern crisp white shirt with a pattern on pattern red tie-VERY NICE!
FOX-Shades of gray (doesn't matter which way you spell it-it's still drab). The group shot of the five of them looked like an interview panel for a new funeral director. Curt Menefee-Pocket square didn't match anything he was wearing, light colored stripe tie provided no contrast. Terry, I think he got his holidays confused-orange and yellow tie, orange pocket square, October was two months ago. Howie, my poster child, almost got it right until he slipped the black and white polka-dot tie around his neck; black and white dots look best on a Dalmatian. Mr. Strahan, no contrast with the suit, tie or shirt; looked like he the bought the shirt and tie combo in the gold box. Jimmy, shirt and tie combo not bad, but would have looked 200% better with a dark suit. With his silver hair-he needs to wear dark suits! And then there's Jillian, big earrings, big belt and a super tight t-shirt to show off her big b--bs-holy cow or is it ho-cow.
CBS-the IBM boys with their all white shirts. JB, tie blends in with the shirt, blah. Dan Marino, bland rep tie, blah. Shannon Sharpe, a deep raspberry velvet jacket with a pink patterned tie, he makes pimping look easy and were those jeans I saw. He should hook up with Jillian from the FOX Network and start their own ho-train-all aboard! Coach Cowher, this look is why he should go back into coaching. Boomer, at least he had a little holiday spirit with his green patterned tie.
NBC-kudos for having a festive looking set-very nice. This group looked like the bankers dressed and ready to plead for a bailout in front of the senate. Bob Costas looked the best, nice contrast overall a B+. Keith and Dan, very conservative, Chris Collinsworth-YOU NEED CONTRAST. Al and John looked dressed to interview for funeral director job available on FOX.
MNF-Mike Tirico, very dapper with his knit cap, Burberry scarf and camel overcoat-VERY NICE! Jaws looked good with his fur trimmed leather coat. Tony looked drab with his dark overcoat, dark scarf, dark everything.
So there you have week 16 for the Sports Reporters, where most of them looked like they were in mourning; where's Denny Crane when you need him.

NFL-Week 15
A quick look around the networks and you would have sworn the Republican National Convention was back on the air because everyone was dressed so conservatively. So let's review the good, the bad, and the ugly.
ESPN-Blah, Blah, Blah, Blah-some of the highlights, Chris Berman cut the bush out of the back of his head, Chris Carter had so many stripes going I thought he was trying to be a zebra; Mr. Jackson has his usual brown suit, thank god he actually wore a white shirt to get a little contrast, Ditka dressed like my grandfather (enough said); and then there's Keyshawn dressed in lavender-I'll give him a "B", but next time, button your coat when behind the desk.
CBS-This group looked like an accounting firm from the midwest-BORING with the exception of Shannon Sharpe-who looked very sharp, except the knot of his tie-the only thing bigger than the knot was Shannon's ego. Marino had too much blue, James Brown's coat didn't fit, Boomer & Cowher too brown, too blue, too blah-overall I give the group a "C-".
NBC SNF-Al and John very conservative but they achieve some contrast with ties-"B-" Bob Costas "B-" and Chris Collinsworth-the rep tie with a double striped shirt and a striped suit-plain ol ugly. "D"
FOX- Here's where it gets ugly. But first, some positives-Jimmy had good contrast with his suit to his hair but the striped shirt killed the look "B-"; Terry's suit looked too big, bad knot on his tie and the pocket square was the wrong shade. Curt-blue pocket square with a yellow shirt-NO, but the tie was very nice. Strahan-the tie makes the difference, and in your case it made no difference. Jilian-Cleopatra goes disco and what's with your hair that hangs like it hasn't been washed in a month. And then there's Howie, our poster child on how not to dress for the camera. The brown suit looked right out of a JC Penny store in the 70's, the tie like it was bought from the corner dry cleaners and the shirt-ugh! "F" Without a doubt, Howie wins the ugly award for this week.
As far as MNF, again more of the same-very average-very boring.
So that's it for this week-hopefully next week we'll see some color and more contrast-after all, the broadcasts are produced in color.
